This theatrical production of Top Girls was directed by Gina Belafonte at CalArts Spring 2019. This play takes place in the mind of protagonist, Marlene where she has a dinner party with famous female historical figures. Through conversation they go from bickering to bonding over similar traumas and experiences. The latter half of the play takes place in the 1980s, in the "modern" women's working world, where we find the same underlining issues are just as prevalent as they are for the modern woman, as were for the historical women.

The intent behind these designs was to capture each of these women's individual aesthetic and approach to femininity.
